ARTIST NOTE /

​The tree bears fruit only after enduring the rain and wind, and the fruit heals its hard life through the body of the beast. Just as the seeds of the fruit circulate again and bloom life in a new land, my work has a circular structure that is legislated through me in the recognized world and then opened to the world again. Uncalculated random "drawing" acts are always a source of energy that fascinates and inspires me. This discord between these fresh encounters raised from the vast sea of unconsciousness and coincidence and different images, minds, or cultures meet again, and it is my homage to the human spirit challenging the infinite sea.

Phoenix

비바람을 견디고야 나무가 열매를 맺고 그 열매는 짐승의 몸을 통해 그 고단한 삶을 치유한다. 다시 그 열매의 씨앗이 순환되어 새로운 땅에서 생명을 꽃피우듯, 나의 작업은 인식된 세계에서 통해 나를 통해 법제된후 다시 세계를 향해 열리는 순환구조를 갖고 있다. 계산되지 않은 무작위한 ‘그리는’ 행위들은 나에게 늘 매혹과 영감을 주는 에너지의 원천이다. 무의식과 우연이라는 광활한 바다에서 건져 올리는 이 싱싱한 만남들과 서로 다른 이미지나 정신 또는 문화가 만나서 이루는 이 불협화음은 다시 새로운 화음의 단초가 되며 그것은 무한의 바다에 도전하는 인간정신에 바치는 나의 오마주이다.
